We use the latest in computer modelling techniques including 3-dimensional frame analysis and design software which is BIM capable including MasterSeries, Tedds, REVIT, ProSteel, iPro Xpress, CAD and more, to provide fast and accurate designs. We also use finite element analysis for specialist areas of design.

Over the years our structural engineers have worked on a number of highly individual projects requiring bespoke design solutions. These have ranged from straw bale houses in Scotland, to the restoration of listed and historic buildings where the preservation of the existing structural elements is paramount. Our timber frame expertise is particularly important in this context. Where necessary the sensitive addition of modern materials and techniques will bring the building up to the required structural standards.
Our comprehensive design service covers timber frame
(both modern and traditional), glulam frame, solid glulam and steel frame.

Testimonial

“The latest software in the hands of knowledgeable engineers has enabled GNC to provide us with a spec for our kits that is very efficient in terms of material use, but incredibly strong. I would recommend GNC wholeheartedly and without reservation.”
- Matt Stevenson
